Freedom Academy is a public charter homeschool program and is free for all families.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
TK students must turn 5 between
- 23-24 School Year: Sept 2, 2023 & April 2, 2024
- 24-25 School Year: Sept 2, 2024 & June 2, 2025
- 25-26 School Year: Turn 4 by Sept 1, 2025
Kindergarten – 8th Grade: Available for any child who turns 5 (or older) on or before September 1st of the intended school year of enrollment.
No, vaccinations are not required to participate in the program.
Yes. Our applications are slightly different, so you will need to complete a separate application for both the traditional LFCS application and Freedom Academy.
After your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Upon review of your application, we will contact you via email to let you with next steps.
Yes, as long as they are on our Approved Vendor List. In fact, we encourage your child to participate in these types of classes and we have an extensive list of approved vendors throughout San Diego County. We are also quick to add new vendors as parents request them.
Yes, we offer optional enrichment classes for all Freedom students. Courses change every trimester and meet weekly in 6 week blocks.
Although each child receives a budget for the year, be assured that all curriculum and most all enrichment will fall within the allotted spending per child.
Yes! We give you the freedom to chose the curriculum you know is best for your child’s learning. Out Teacher Consultants are here to offer professional advice and help you make the selections, but ultimately the choice is yours.
